The fabric has a nice stretch to it that moves with you on the trail, and the pockets actually hold my phone and a granola bar securely. I wore it on a rocky climb and never felt restricted.

The four pockets are a lifesaver on the trail—I could stash my phone and snacks without needing a backpack. The navy color is really sharp in person, though I wish the waistband had a bit more give for easier bending. Still, it's a solid upgrade from my old hiking shorts.
